Job title: Teacher of Music (Full time, permanent)

Camden School for Girls is a highly successful and oversubscribed inner London comprehensive secondary school with a rich historical heritage. The school was founded in 1871 by Frances Mary Buss, a pioneer for women’s education and the school has a long-standing history of ambition and excellence for all pupils regardless of background. We have a warm, welcoming and supportive ethos and aspire to excellence in all areas of the school provision. We have a strong sense of community and we foster an environment where everyone feels valued. We have been identified five times by government ministers as one of the top 100 schools in the country.
Our Music department is high profile and attracts many talented musicians. We offer music places each year both to the Main School and in the Sixth Form and have a large number of students playing musical instruments to a high level. We have thriving A level and GCSE classes as well as an innovative and inclusive KS3 curriculum of 80 minutes a week. Despite high profile performances, both public and school based, our ethos remains inclusive where music is for all and we are ambitious for every student. We are looking for an experienced and committed Music teacher, starting in September 2026, who has the expertise and enthusiasm to deliver a broad, high quality music education for our pupils. The ability to lead choirs would be an advantage.
